A weekend of nature and embroidery

A couple of weeks ago I had a very pleasant weekend in Linköping where I attended a "broderisymposium" - a weekend full with embroidery in different ways. This was the second time I went to Linköping on an event like this and it is always such a pleasure and very well organized by Hemslöjden i Östergötland. I had some time before the event started on Friday so I went to Östergötlands Länsmuseum and saw two good exhibitions, one about haute couture from Paris and the other a graduation exhibition from "Slöjd, hantverk och formgivning" at Linköpings University.

During the weekend there was an extensive program of lectures, workshops and excursions - everything in the atmosphere of nature and embroidery. I had a workshop in crosstich with Frida Berntsson.

There was a lecture about vegetable dyeing with Jeanette Schäring

Saturday we had an excursion to the famous writer Ellen Key's wonderful house by the lake...

The weekend ended on Sunday with a workshop inspired by butterflies and silk.
