This week I am lucky enough to be visiting Helena in Ridgefield. It is so beautiful both outside in the garden and inside in the studio...

Passing Fall out of the loom

Wednesday was the day we have been waiting for. Now Passing Fall is finally finished and has been taken of the loom! Unfortunately I have to wait a whole week before I can see it at the studio... But I've heard from Ebba and Tova that it looks great. If anyone else out there is interested in seeing it, we will have a viewing April 17th at Alice Lund Textilier (more info later on). At that time I will also publish a picture on the blog as well. So we all have to be just a little more patient...

Books instead of yarns

When I am in Stockholm I usually try to work on my research project about the textile artist Sofia Widén. Since I don't have an office here I am a frequent visitor to the city's libraries. My all time favorite is Kungliga Biblioteket (the Royal Library) which lies in central Stockholm. It is such a beautiful and peaceful environment to work in. On top of that they also have a copy of every book and news paper that has ever been published in Sweden (as well as a lot of other international and national literature and personal archives of course). I don't know what I would do without these sanctuaries of knowledge that still excists in the city.
